Pto. Natales – Camping Central – Base Las Torres (13 km trek, 7 to 8 hours).
Start: Day 1 at 7:00 AM at the Puerto Natales Bus Terminal.
End: Day 5 at 9:00 PM at the Puerto Natales Bus Terminal.
The program begins at 7:00 AM at the Puerto Natales Bus Terminal, where you will take a bus to Portería Laguna Amarga to enter Torres del Paine National Park. You will then take another ground transport to the Torre Central area for registration. After dropping off your belongings, you'll start an ascending 1.5-hour trek to El Chileno Shelter. Along the way, enjoy the beauty of surrounding lakes and the hanging glacier of Mount Almirante Nieto, over 2600 m above sea level. Upon reaching the shelter, recharge for a 2-hour trek to one of the park’s most spectacular spots: the Base Torres Viewpoint. In the afternoon, return via the same trail to spend the night at the Chileno Camping.
Continue trekking around the Paine Massif, circling the base of Cerro Almirante Nieto. You'll marvel at the local flora, Lake Nordenskjöld, and hanging glaciers. After 4-5 hours of hiking, reach Los Cuernos for stunning photography opportunities. Overnight at the Cuernos Shelter.
Trek to Valle del Francés (25.3 km, 10 to 12 hours).
Start at 8:00 AM. The first two hours are easy, with views of Lake Nordenskjöld. The first stop is at the Italian Camp, where you can leave your backpacks and continue with essentials (water, warm clothes, and food). Begin a 1.5-hour ascent through the French River Valley to the French Glacier Viewpoint, then proceed to the British Viewpoint to witness some of the park's most dramatic scenery: Paine Grande, Cathedral, Shark Fin, and North Horn. Return via the same trail to the Italian Camp, then follow the path to Paine Grande for the third night's stay.
Trek to the Grey Glacier Sector – Optional Ice Hike or Kayak Grey Glacier (11 km, 4 to 5 hours).
Visit the Grey Glacier Viewpoint. After a 1.5-hour trek from Paine Grande, you will reach the first viewpoint and continue for nearly two hours to the Main Viewpoint. Afterward, leave your gear at Grey Camping, your night's lodging, and proceed to the base for one of two optional activities:
After the experience, return to camp to rest for the next day.
Trek to Paine Grande Sector – Catamaran on Lake Pehoé – Puerto Natales (11 km, 4 to 5 hours).
Start walking along the same trail back to Paine Grande, enjoying the last views of Grey Glacier, passing by Duck Lagoon. Continue enjoying views of Lake Pehoé and Cerro Paine Grande before reaching the dock to catch the catamaran to Pudeto at 4:45 PM. A bus will be waiting at Pudeto to take you back to Puerto Natales, arriving at 9:00 PM.
